I couldn't explain it. I couldn't deny it either.
Not long ago, I was working in construction at an industrial facility, about as far from the world of energy and spirituality as you can get. And honestly, that world wasn't just unfamiliar to me, it was something I'd been taught to distrust. I was raised in the United Church, and anything that smelled like mysticism or energy healing was filed under not for us. So I wasn't a skeptic. I was closer to a true believer, in the other direction.
Then in May of 2004, a friend of mine, a mechanical engineer who'd just finished reading a book, asked if he could try something on my back. I'd been dealing with an injury I couldn't resolve anywhere, through any conventional means. So I said yes. Two treatments later, my back was healed. I couldn't explain it. I couldn't deny it either. And what struck me just as much as the result was how normal it felt, how natural. That was the moment I realized that so much of what I'd been taught to dismiss might not deserve to be dismissed at all. And that realization changed everything.
What followed was years of research, training, and experience, but always through a particular lens. I didn't just want to learn the right phrases or adopt the right philosophy. I wanted to understand the mechanics of how this all actually works. How these principles function. Why they produce the results they do. How to apply them in a real life, not just talk about them. That drive is still what shapes everything I teach today, and now extends into one of my deepest current passions: the intersection of spirit and science, and the remarkable role our nervous system plays in how we experience and interact with our reality.
I built the Energy Mechanic brand around one core belief: that this work doesn't have to be mysterious, inaccessible, or wrapped in language that makes regular people feel left out. Whether you're brand new to this or you've been on this path for years, what I offer is grounded, practical, and built to actually produce change in your life experience. If you've ever felt like there's more going on beneath the surface of your life than anyone's been able to clearly explain, you're in the right place.
